This is the week where my fellow group mates and I would be in action, to visit Puan Hasanah's premise. Her shop was located at Taman Melawati, Kuala Lumpur. On the first day when we arrived to her shop, we couldn't find where her premise at as she only owned 1/3 area by sharing with another three small businesses and the entrance was not eye-catching. We walked around and have done some observations before meeting up with Puan Hasanah. There are few competitors which selling similar finished products and there is a shopping complex, Qiant right in front of her shop. She also told us that she would be back in half an hour time because she needed to seek doctor due to pinprick infection. While waiting for her, we decided to wait at her premise and looked around to analyze the environment and write down some suggestions that could make the business better and to improvise her current business plan. After visiting her business premises, she invited us and led us to her house to have a cup of tea to chitchat over her life story and experience. We were all honored because generally not everyone would like to welcome strangers to their house.

Before we left, she has prepared some cakes and beverages for us. In the meantime, she asked about what kind of benefits that both parties will receive from this project. I wasn't sure about saying the right things or not being able to give an appropriate answer. At last, being honest to her as what we will get at the end of the project is coursework marks based on our performance and a real life practical experience. I was pleased that my group 'sahabat' is an easy-going person as we can easily arranged the actual visitation time with her. Some of my classmates had encountered some tense situations such as couldn't make contact with their 'sahabat' or even being stood up by 'sahabat'. Puan Hasanah is very optimist and she tells us that we have to be independent and brave enough to chase our dream. There is a quote says that " don't be a women that needs a man, be a woman a man needs!” She did not worry about the competitors around her premise because she has faith and confident in her quality work, instead of focusing on quantity to earn more money. By doing business, we must have to gain our customer loyalty and confidence. Two-way communication is important in doing business to receive feedback from customers to understand their desires and needs.
