This week is our time meeting the 'sahabat' in the lecture hall. We were rather nervous, exited or anxious because we might not know what the final outcome would be. Under the care of our lecturer, Miss Kelly, we were more calmed down and we tried our best to impress to all of the 'sahabat' in a very positive energy. We were given a brief explanation upon how to approach and greet our 'sahabat' for the first time. We must make sure that we could blend in with them and ensure both parties are in a same picture. When we finally made contact with our respective 'sahabat', Puan Hasanah was appointed as our group 'sahabat'. After introduced ourselves to her, she started to tell us more about her own difficulties in financial that she is facing now. In the mean time, we also asked some questions and noted down all the information in case that we have left out some details. In this era of technology advanced, she told us that she is interested in learning all Internet stuff for her own business aim for improvement. However, she has no time and no one is available to teach her.
Puan Hasanah is a very friendly and people-oriental woman. We were very blessed to acknowledge her as our group assignment because she is indeed a super-woman. She is mother of seven children and a wife to a very loving husband. This is the motivation booster for our group to put in extra effort to assist and support her in her business because she needs to take care of a huge family. We hope that when this project ends, she would make a big chance in her business and making a better life in the process. Her business is tailoring and she has been running her business over 9 years. She is hoping to further expand her business and she has no extra income for saving every month, as it is just enough to cover her monthly expenses. During the ice breaking session with our respective 'sahabat', I found that the language barrier was making it really hard for me to express what I wanted to ask and say.
After a few hours talk with Puan Hasanah, I had mixture emotions that I should feel thankful to my parents who always give their best to me without any complains. I have never ever needed to worry about monthly pocket money or life issue. Before leaving lecture hall, we shared information with some friends. I noticed that most of the 'sahabat' were actually facing a similar problem and in term of economic we called it 'budget deficit'. In other words, it refers as expenses more than income. They don't have a stable monthly income but a large amount of expenses and loan to pay off every month.
